A few months ago I left Intel and my Intel internet account left me. I am now working at a very good place in Talpiot. I started to think of ideas to get a full Internet account. I thought of an idea (not related to an account), which I think could be very beneficial to many people. Attached below is a possible idea for a new distribution list/digest on Nysernet that would benefit all those who are living or thinking about living in Israel. Every Sunday evening (for some time now) I cut out all the computer ads from the major newspapers. Sunday night and Monday Evening I sit and review the ads with olim. I also save all the back ads for olim that visit and want to see which companies use what equipment/software even though they may not be placing an ad right now. I have been in bed with a bad virus for the past 4-5 days but I found some time to type in this past weekend's ads. I used EDIT and my hunt and peck method - never again! It took many hours. What is needed is a good typist and a good word-processor or data-entry program. Here is the bottom line: I have been doing this as a hobby for some time, getting referrals from friends,AACI,Leshkat Haavoda,Consulats,etc... I am going to continue to cut and paste the ads in any case. On Monday morning on the way to work, or Monday evening I can drop the pages off for someone to type them into a system. By Tuesday, Israelis, Olim,potential Olim will see there really are jobs in Israel (in real-time). To the best of my knowledge there is no up-to-date computer job listing in this country (repeat: up-to-date). Think of all the Aliyah organizations that this can benefit. The Internet, Keshernet, ICCA are just a few possible places to post this. Unfortunately I do not have that much time in the week to devote (Except Sunday Evenings + part Monday evenigs). Whichever organization would type this in can take credit for their part. If it helps someone out there find a job or make Aliyah then it is worthwile. Let me know what you think.
