The positions stated are in Israel. In my opinion, after 2-3 years of experience I would venture to say that your knowledge and type of experience is what is valued the most. In my opinion it seems that Keren Hishtalmut and Bituach Menahalim are now standard fare for the computer industry. Note that both can add 15-20 percent to a person's gross salary. This IS NOT taken into account in the survey. A company car is valued at 2500 Shekels per month. A bus pass (local/inter-city) is valued at 500 Shekels per month. Many companies pickup and and take home their workers via company vans or taxi services. I did not ask about this in the current survey. Some included it as a bus pass valued at 500 shekels per month. Next year I will try to remember and add it to the survey. Note that several non-manager workers have company cars. Cars are usually given to those in high positions or sales/marketing people. Exceptions may be people who live far from the company location. Next year I may add questions about vacation days, stock plans, etc... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To the survey: Dollar rate: 3.25 Shekels Positions that had less then 3 responses were not used. I only listed the median for positions that had only 3 responses. 32 positions were on the form. Survey includes 19 positions. From the 272 responses 253 were included in the survey below. Due to the large number of Native Russians responding, I broke down 3 of the programming positions to Russian (R) and non-Russian (NR). It seems that Russian olim, during their first years in Israel, are paid lower then others. In my opinion only: this could be due to the language barrier and the non-western approach to salary negotiations. Do not flame me for this, it is just an opinion. Due to the large spread between the low and the high I decided to use the median instead of the average salary.
