Google Israel Ltd. rose to second place from eleventh in the 2007 survey. In May 2008, BDI published its best companies to work for survey for the economy as a whole; the present survey focuses on high-tech. The general rankings were based on a survey of more than 12,000 employees. The high-tech rankings are bared on the answers submitted by employees in the high-tech sector, in-house surveys by companies, and employer questionnaires. Intel Israel is also ranked as the best company to work for in the general survey. The company had a NIS 6.35 billion revenue in 2007 and has 7,350 employees. In third place in the high-tech survey, after Google Israel, is IBM Israel Ltd., which had NIS 2.2 billion revenue in 2007 and 1,700 employees. Microsoft Israel Ltd. is in fourth place, with NIS 891 million revenue in 2007 and 210 employees. SAP Israel Ltd. is ranked in fifth place among high-tech companies in 2008, the same ranking as in 2007. The company had NIS 562.4 million revenue in 2007 and has 700 employees. Cisco Systems Israel Ltd. is in sixth place, also the same as last year. The company had NIS 400 million revenue in 2007 and 930 employees. The 2008 rankings from seventh through fifteenth place are as follows: 7th place - Comverse Technology Inc. (Pink Sheets: CMVT) (down from 4th place in 2007); 8th place - HP Israel Ltd. (up from 12th place in 2007); 9th place - Motorola Israel Ltd. (unchanged); 10th place - Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE: DOX) (unchanged); 11th place -Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) (down from 7th place); 12th place - NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) (down from 8th place); 13th place - Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) (up from 20th place); 14th place -Applied Materials Israel Ltd. (unchanged); and in 15th place Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. (up from 16th place).
