The high-tech group with the highest average monthly salary in 2005 was R&D workers, at NIS 18,159, up 7.8%, or NIS 1,359 over 2004. The average monthly salary in the electronic communication equipment subsector was NIS 17,722, up 0.6%, or NIS 119, over 2004. The average monthly salary in the advanced medical and scientific equipment subsector was NIS 17,366, up 3.6%, or NIS 597, over 2004. The average monthly salary in computer services subsector was NIS 16,374, up 5.9%, or NIS 905 over 2004. Average salaries in high tech in December were as follows: R&D - NIS 18,461; advanced medical and scientific equipment NIS 18,204; electronic communication equipment - NIS 17,490; and computer services - NIS 16,759.
