Average gross monthly salaries of employees in the advanced medical and scientific equipment sector were up 2% to NIS 18,140 in September, the highest wages in Israeli high tech, and 2.43 times the NIS 7,582 nationwide average. Employees in the electronic equipment sector were in second place. Their average gross monthly salaries rose 5% to NIS 17,422 in September. In third place were R&D employees, whose average gross monthly pay jumped 6.8% to NIS 17,295. Computer services employees had the lowest pay in high tech. Their average gross monthly salaries rose 1.5% to NIS 16,183 in September, 2.13 times the nationwide average.
