Demand for workers stable in February Compared with February 2004, demand for trade and services employees rose by 31%. The survey found that demand in February grew the most for computers and telecommunications services employees, which rose by 9%, compared with January. Demand for office services employees rose by 4%, and for people with higher degrees and managers by 3%. On the other hand, demand for industrial employees fell by 9%, and for marketing and sales staff by 2%. Compared with February 2004, demand for trade and services employees rose by 31%, the greatest increase of any sector, followed by computers and telecommunications services employees - 27%, office services employees 18%, and industrial employees - 9%. Demand for people with higher degrees and managers fell by 5%. Manpower Israel CEO Dalia Narkiss said that a comparison of figures for January and February 2005 with the corresponding period of 2004 indicated a slight slowdown in demand for workers, although a breakdown by sector showed contradictory trends beginning in January.
