Hi Everyone! As many of you are aware, the global slowdown is also affecting Israel. There have been layoffs in the Israeli hi-tech fields and job posting have been few. However, the good news is that there are companies that are doing ok and even hiring during this slow period. The OU Job Board and Merkaz Hamagshimim-Hadassah are having an Israel Job & Aliyah Fair on November 25th from 5-9 PM Location: OU National Convention Ramada Hotel Hertzl Blvd, Jerusalem (bus 18, 21, 13) The Fair will include approx 60 companies from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, in a wide variety of fields, including hi-tech, technical writing, bio-tech, marketing/pr, education/hadracha, law, accounting, non-profits, engineering, etc. You needed to register, but the response has been very big that they closed registration for most of the fields. However, I wrote to Shira (who is one of the organizers) and she said that there is opening space for 30 people with computer-related experience (programmers, engineers, server managers etc) and the rest will be put on a wait list.
