Hi Everyone! I was in a taxi cab today in Jerusalem when it started to rain very hard. Although the driving was difficult, the driver and I agreed that the rain was a blessing and that it should continue to rain this hard through the whole winter. I never had a conversation like this back in New York. I spent Sukkot in Ma'ale Adumim and enjoyed great meals in the sukahs of several good friends. This week I started the "after chagim diet". On Tuesday night, October 21, 2008, I went to the second hakafot in Ma'ale Adumim and took pictures. For those overseas, take note that Tuesday night was after chag in Israel. I posted the pictures online at: http://www.jr.co.il/ma/pic/2008/ma277.htm ------------------------------------------------------------- This Sunday, November 2, I will be one of the presenters at the MarcShoret Marketing Communicators Conference. This full day conference at Binyanei HaUma, Jerusalem, will cover a wide range of topics relating to marketing and communications. For the tentative program see: http://www.marcshoret.com/MarcShoretProgram.pdf Mention you are a CJI member and you will get a large registration discount (300 shekels instead of 550 shekels) Register using this form: http://www.marcshoret.com/MarcShoretregistration.pdf For more details contact: 052-335-0017 If you decide to attend the conference, you are welcome to come over and say hi during the breaks. ------------------------------------------------------------- This week I added audio to my website: Learn English with Pictures http://www.my-english-dictionary.com Learn English with Pictures (and Audio) is a free, online, resource to learn English words in a fun way. The site has over 400 words and photographs, ranging from animals to kitchen appliances. Beneath each photograph, there is an audio button to click and hear the word. Please forward the website to anyone that may be interested in learning English. I am sure there are many people on the list who have friends or relatives that are learning English. Also, if you have a minute, please go to the bottom of the main page and use the share button to spread the word on your social networks. Thank you!!! ------------------------------------------------------------- Last night, in Jerusalem, I sent in my absentee ballot. This is the first time I voted in a US election since I made aliyah 24 years ago. I thought it was important to vote this election. Please Vote!! I did not find many jobs this week for the report. Below are two jobs that came to me by email. I will try and devote more time next week to finding jobs and maybe send out another report.
