Welcome to all the new readers that recently joined the CJI list.
Today's CJI report is very short (only emailed positions that
I received) because I could not do a regular report this week.
I hope to work on a large report within the next 10 days.
I currently have over 1,700 emails in my inbox (includes personal
emails, emails from all my websites not just CJI) so I apologize
if I did not answer all questions about the survey.

Several people asked if I can give additional information /
breakdowns of the salary data like: salary differences by
male / female, location, number of years in the field, etc..
Even though there were 796 valid strings sent in, most positions
do not have enough responses to do additional analysis which
would result in vaild conclusions.
The only position (with enough data) that I broke down by
experience is programmer (0-2 years and 3+ years and above).
Based on the data I saw, the number of years of experience
does not always mean a higher salary. There are many factors
outside of years of experience to getting a higher salary.
Job agencies may be able to give better detailed salary information
when you go on an interview.

I posted on the CJI website an article about women and the
work place in Israel. The situation is not good and the article
discribes a grim picture. The article also notes the salary
differences between working men and women.
However, I felt that it was important that people should know
what is happening and hopefully things will improve in the
near future.
