The TV news reported this week that over 600,000 Israelis have
gotten the flu since the beginning of December.
Well...make that over 600,001.
Unfortunately I got the flu this week and it has not been a good
week for me. Tonight's CJI report is relatively short (25 companies,
54 positions) because I did not have the head to work on it more
hours. I hope I can rid of this bug by next week.

I noticed this week that my Visa billing for Hot cable TV was
pretty high - 244 shekels. I did not realize that after I enjoyed
a free period of extra channels that the billing would be so high.
I called and requested the basic digital service which I was
quoted at 187 shekels.
However, I was told that starting this week there is a special
that I can get three additional packages for 12 extra shekels
if I commit for 1 year. 250 shekels penalty of I leave before 1 year.
So now I have three packages (movies, entertainment, sports)
for 199 shekels instead of 2 packages at 244 shekels.
So...why am I telling everyone about this ?
This is the third time that I found out by accident about specials
from the large services providers.
Last month I called Bezeq International and changed my
overseas calling service to a cheaper rate.
Before that I called my Internet provider for a better deal.
If you have not called any of your service providers in the
last 3 months (cable, Internet, international phone service)
call them. They do not automatically inform their customers
when there are specials that save you money.
A simple phone call can save you money.
